  allow me to extend a minute amount of symapthy to the forum members who waited with excitement the recent special jw meeting and attended.

  perhaps it met your expectations?.

  and, i almost, repeat, almost, feel sorry for those poor sods who deem it necessary to read the so called 'new' jw bible translation, and searching for all of the 'differences' from past releases.

  Maybe you don't know what you're talking about, or maybe the battery on your sense of humor needs to be recharged.

  FACT: Cheeses' conclusions are correct. The shameless manipulation of the r&f Dubs by their F&D SlaveMasters has been abundantly indicated by the events surrounding this AGM alone. The sheeplike acceptance of this abuse is evidence of the Stockholm Syndrome.

  Dubs have donated their self-esteem to the WTB&TS.

  My interest in this revised NWT

  the biases of the earlier iteration of the nwt have been known and discussed from the appearance of the first appearance in 1950, and i assume the revised edition will be affected by the same prejudicial biases.

  one can cynically subscribe to the view that this is a financial bonanza and possibly a distraction from the imminent centenary of that distant significant date.. my interest will be to see how the impact of this revision evolves, particularly in the area of the wts's support material and on the impact its release will have on witnesses.

  works of unknown authorship70 years from the end of the calendar year in which the work is made.

  however, if the work is made available to the public during that time then copyright expires 70 years from the end of the calendar year in which it is first made publicly available.i wonder if this is the motive for a new bible?

  some of this will not be new to those of you who read other people's notes, but i bet there are a few new bits for you here, so i've provided a user-friendly table of contents, as an homage to the contents that appear before each book of the bible in the new nwt.

  i might remember more highlights later, as i'm rather tired right now, but this is what i can recall off the top of my head.. contents (use of quote marks in this section is facetious; these are not actual quotes).

  "say, did you notice that 2014 is the 100th anniversary, people?".

  The Smoke and Mirrors of the Annual Meeting

  the annual meeting seems to boil down to an opening talk about an "exciting new" bible museum and a closing talk about an "exciting new" new world translation.

  sandwiched in between were the wt summary, a talk about indoctrinating the children fast/furious, and some "trip down memory lane.".

  why would this "spiritual feast" seem to be anticlimactic?

  But the Bible is GRAY; that proves how close the end is. It's GRAY . No one else has gray Bibles, because ours is true; its gray.

  also accounts of how they "miraculously" received bibles that they didn't think they could get - eg.

  geneva bible.. now - watchtower study review as there is no meeting tomorrow..
